I'm hanging onto my youth with my fingernails, fighting the drag into middle age kicking and screaming, while having a mid-life crisis and re-evaluating every decision I've ever made. It's been fun, it's been crazy and sometimes sad, but I feel more alive now than I've felt in years. Some communities require a statement of age indicating that I am over 18 years old. I began writing for Stargate Atlantis, and I read and write almost exclusively McShep in that fandom. A million words of fanfic later, I began publishing original M/M romance under the name of Sarah Madison. I spend most of my time working on original stories these days, though I do still read and write fanfic

I am slow to friend people because I *hate* the 'defriend' thing. I treat my LJ like a reading list, and I assume others do as well. I don't mind if you friend me under a sockpuppet account, but don't be surprised if I don't friend you back. That being said, most people would say I'm a friendly person and share far too much of my life on LJ as it is. ;-)

I compete in the equine sport of eventing, have a handsome dog, and some photogenic cats, so you'll probably see far too many pix of animals in posts.
